Balloon modelling is an incredibly fascinating form of entertainment. While your guests (kids or adults) are enjoying the fun of the party, I will be walking around having all kinds of balloon fun with them – lots of smiles, gags and chatter while I customise personal pets for them to keep. It's a jungle of animals, birds, fish, snakes, hats and swords. Your guests will love them and get to choose what they want and take them home as giveaways!
Balloon modelling is known by a number of different names, such as balloon shaping, balloon twisting and balloon moulding. They all pertain to the same thing: the shaping of special long thin balloons into a myriad of different shapes. We use only the best quality balloons, which are far superior to the ones bought in general toy stores.
I can also combine balloon twisting with Doggy the Friendly Raccoon. His funny antics will have the crowds ooo-ing with wonder! By request, I can also add a variety of amazing pocket tricks which will also add a special sparkle to your function.
We recently had Tricky Trevor at our family fun day. He presented a wonderful magic show which had everyone – kids and adults – on the edge of their seats. Then to cap it all, he mingled with the kids after the show, making them all kinds of balloon figures. I kid you not – he could make almost any animal the kids asked for. What a talent!
I dress as a fun, colourful character, adding a wonderful atmosphere of amusement and intrigue for children’s parties, socials, braai’s (please don’t cook the balloon animals!), weddings and school fun days.
Even at corporate functions, balloon twisting entertainment can be performed in an upmarket way as I can make more sophisticated figures for adults. For older children, a balloon modelling workshop can be great fun too. It will also improve their hand-to-eye coordination. Kids as young as 6 years old can learn to make a dog or sword easily.
Sometimes balloon hats can be a fantastic crowd pleaser. The kids can wear a funny-shaped thingy-mabob during the party and take it home with them afterward. This can solve that tricky ‘party pack’ issue.
